Digitalization in the financial industry: A contingency approach of entrepreneurial orientation and strategic vision on digitalization

Abstract Technology is rapidly changing the financial industry. Banks, in particular, are faced with a shift from traditional, interpersonal forms of service to digital services. These technologies more and becoming today’s standard banking sector, they challenge traditional business models, provide opportunities for banks capitalize on. Building on concept entrepreneurial orientation (EO), this study Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein aims at developing insights that explain how can use tactics strategies associated EO achieve superior performance digitalization age. The results survey 102 show that: 1) display high levels report higher level performance, 2) relationship between banks’ strategic vision digitalization, moderated by EO. indicate sheer bank does not affect profitability.
